Girls Making History was a collaboration between KWMC, University of Bristol, and different organisations and experts from across Bristol. The project harnessed the expertise of young women and their direct experience of violence and coercive control to develop digital prototypes that could potentially support teenage girls to understand what a healthy relationship looks like.

A group of 13-24 year old women worked with artists, creative technologists, and engineers to prototype some wearable technology; a piece of jewellery that works as a safety device and links to an app that highlights unhealthy behaviours and emotions. The piece was designed to enable young people to recognise the signs and take action to make positive changes in their lives. We facilitated further workshops with the women to develop the prototype.
