Girls Making History

2015

A group of 13-24 year old women worked with artists, creative technologists, and engineers to prototype some wearable technology; a piece of jewellery that works as a safety device and links to an app that highlights unhealthy behaviours and emotions. The piece was designed to enable young people to recognise the signs of violence and coercive control and take action to make positive changes in their lives. We facilitated further workshops with the women to develop the prototype.
